Blockchain is one of the most highly requested digital professional skills of 2020 according to LinkedIn. Emerged for the first time in 2009 with the dawn and emergence of cryptocurrencies, blockchain technology has created the backbone of a new type of Internet, expanding its areas of application.

The potential to store, give proof of, authorize and transfer information on the network with the blockchain implies being able to unwaveringly keep and send all types of digital resources. If until last year it was a technology of extreme importance for firms hiring in Germany, USA, UK, France and Australia, in 2020 blockchain, the underlying technology behind cryptocurrency, has climbed the ranking of the professional skills highly requested by the domain of work, coming in first place. As Coinidol reported last month, Blockchain aka DLT is still the most searched ā€œhard skillā€ for 2020.

Sectors that do not operate in the financial services field are also increasingly looking for talents with experience in the new distributed technologies especially blockchain, such as in the field of retail, e-commerce and shipping, healthcare, gaming and agriculture.

Under the blockchain we find important things like cloud computing, smart contracts, analytical reasoning, digital currency, artificial intelligence (AI), and many others.

Wanting to Learn the Blockchain Basics

Many people from different parts of the world are now seeking opportunities to learn all the basics needed to start a journey in the world of blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, Ripple, Libra and many others.
